Hi Oluwakayode! Please tell us a bit about yourself and what inspired you to start learning with Univad.

My name is Oluwakayode Abiodun. I am a businessman and a footballer. For a long time, I have been curious about how technology works, especially how it can protect or expose people and organizations.

One day, I was reading an article online about cybersecurity. It explained how experts protect sensitive data, prevent hacking, and track digital threats. I was amazed to see how technology can be used to safeguard individuals and companies. At the same time, I realized how the same technology can be misused in the wrong hands. That contrast really caught my attention.

It made me want to understand how these systems work and how I could be part of the solution. That curiosity led me to start looking for where I could learn cybersecurity in a way that was flexible, practical, and credible.

How did you discover Univad, and why did you choose it?

I discovered Univad on X, which is now called Twitter. Someone was talking about online platforms where people can learn tech skills like cybersecurity, and Univad was mentioned in the conversation. Out of curiosity, I clicked on their profile and started reading about what they offer.

The first thing that stood out to me was how organized and professional their programs were. I liked that they offered diplomas and short courses that are globally recognized and created in collaboration with leading universities and companies. I also went through some of the student stories on Univad’s page, and I could tell that people were really learning and growing.

My goal now is to keep growing in this field and to use cybersecurity to make a real difference. I want to help organizations become more secure and to help people understand how to protect themselves online.
