Hi Yomi, can you tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Abayomi Seth Olubunmi Durotoye. I’m currently taking a break from formal education, but my dream is to become an architect. At the moment, though, I’m studying Cybersecurity at Univad because I want to contribute to a safer online world as technology keeps advancing.

That’s interesting! So, what made you choose Cybersecurity, and why Univad?

I’ve always been interested in how technology is shaping our world, and Cybersecurity seemed like a great way to be part of something meaningful. I chose Univad because I was referred by someone, and after looking into their programs, I felt it was the right place to learn and grow.

How’s the experience been with Univad’s Cybersecurity course so far?

Honestly, it’s been great! I’ve only just started, but I really enjoy the learning process. The best part is that it doesn’t matter if you’re new to Cybersecurity or have some experience—Univad welcomes all levels. Even though it’s an online course, it feels like I’m actually part of a community, like I’m attending a proper school.

That sounds amazing! What’s the part of Cybersecurity that excites you the most, and how does Univad help with that?

At first, I didn’t really know what Cybersecurity was about, but after watching a few introductory videos from my tutors, I became really interested. Univad has a way of making things clear, even when the topics are complex. They take their time, start from the basics, and build up gradually. I always feel like I want to learn more after each session.

It’s great that you’ve found your passion! So, how do you fit studying into your daily life?

I’ve set up a schedule that works for me. I dedicate a specific time each day to focus on my course. It’s helped me stay organized, and I’m able to balance my studies with other things I need to do. It’s all about having a routine.

That’s a solid plan! Looking ahead, what are your career goals in Cybersecurity, and how is Univad helping you get there?

My goal is to apply what I’m learning and eventually have a career in Cybersecurity. Univad’s course is structured to prepare students for real-world jobs, and they even have support in place to help connect us with job opportunities once we complete the course. I feel like I’m on the right path.

That’s fantastic to hear! So, what’s it like studying something as technical as Cybersecurity in an online setting?

At first, I thought it would be challenging to learn something so technical online, but Univad has really made it easy. The platform is designed so that you don’t just learn—you also get time to review and ask questions. If I’m ever unsure about something, there’s always help available, either from other students or tutors. It makes learning feel less overwhelming and more enjoyable.

That’s great feedback! Lastly, what would you say to someone who’s thinking about studying Cybersecurity at Univad?

I know a lot of people find Cybersecurity intimidating because it sounds so technical. I’d say Univad is a great place to start because they make it easy to understand. The tutors break things down so well, and they make the whole experience fun. I was a bit nervous when I first started, but I’m glad I gave it a try. I’d definitely recommend Univad to anyone.
